| Theory training part a, road signs and road markings knowledge |

Gear changing, clutch control, smooth braking.

Turning left and right into minor roads (MSPSL) , use of signals and normal road position on a variety of road types

T junctions and emerging from them onto main roads

| Further Theory training - part b, plus hazard routine, alertness and attitude. |

Straight line reversing.

Dealing with/meeting traffic, early identification of hazards and braking, defensive driving, who has priority?

| Moving off on hills and at an angle |

Turning left, and going straight ahead at traffic light controlled junctions

Manoeuvre A - Turn in the road (3 point turn)

| Theory training - part c plus checks under the bonnet checks. |

Anticipation , adequate clearance, following distance and emergency (controlled) stop.

Town/city centres, narrow side streets and one way streets

Pedestrian crossings

Turning right at traffic light controlled junctions, crossroads and box junctions

Manoeuvre B - Reversing left around a corner or into a limited opening.

Mini roundabouts up to circular multi lane roundabouts

Manoeuvre C - Reverse bay park over both shoulders
|
Main roads, 40mph +, 5th gear, dual carriageways, appropriate use of speed, overtaking (cyclists, cars, lorries, buses).

Spiral roundabouts and gyratory systems
